How these controls work with YouTube filters
Each child’s content filter uses YouTube’s filtering and search settings. Choose that filter in your child’s profile. Your blocked videos, channels, and keywords add further restrictions for the whole family.
Channels are matched by channel name. Keywords apply to searches and video titles, descriptions, and channel names. Removing one restriction does not remove any other filters or blocks.
When opening videos on other sites is allowed, player links can open another app or website. TubeQuest’s filters and blocks apply inside TubeQuest.
YouTube’s filters may not catch everything. You can block a video or channel directly from Watch history & activity, or explore Community blocks.
