Video counts are recorded opens, not viewing minutes. Replays don’t create new watch records. Quiz results show the latest outcome per question, not accuracy across every attempt. Parent activity tracking starts with this update.
Stories credits & prices
Balances and credit totals are current/lifetime. The date filters below apply to provider costs. Existing parents received a one-time $5 opening credit; new accounts start at $0. Manual top-ups do not collect a payment.
Copied when a Stories credit account is created. Changing the default does not change existing account prices or saved story quotes.
Credit history
Overview totals include all actions in the selected dates; the other filters apply to the log. AI costs are OpenRouter charges, separate from the customer prices and credit deductions above. Pending and unknown amounts are excluded from confirmed spend.

Reports generated per day

Search activity per day
New requests sent to each provider and searches served from cache
YouTube new Brave new Cache hits
A fallback can count under both providers. Shared lookups and other search outcomes are listed in the daily table.
How to read these numbers
Reports count only after generation succeeds. Searches include accepted searches that return no results, are blocked by a family keyword, or fail. Unauthorized and invalid requests are excluded.
Cache hit rate is the share of tracked lookups served from stored search results. Searches that share a lookup already in progress are listed separately. Both avoid an additional upstream search request. Blocked searches, empty queries, and older searches without cache data are excluded from the rate.
New searches sent to providers
Counts actual search request attempts, including failures and empty results. Cache hits, shared lookups, and skipped providers add no requests. Fallback can send one search to both providers. Repeating a query after its cache expires counts again. Metadata calls are counted separately below.
Metadata lookups per day
One lookup per unique video or channel ID in each request
Cache hit New lookup Shared lookup
YouTube API requests per day
Actual upstream requests; one batch can contain up to 50 IDs
| Cache | Hits | New lookups | Shared lookups | Hit rate | API requests | API failures |
|---|
How metadata caching is counted
Hits reuse stored metadata. New lookups need a YouTube request; shared lookups wait for one already in progress. Hit rate uses all three counts and includes failed lookups. API requests count each upstream batch once, including failed requests, and exclude search requests and video streaming.
